WELCOME to Maine Wilderness Camps! We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay and will consider returning again. We are very proud of our facility and we’re making every effort to improve not only the physical appearance of the complex, but also our service to you. If we can assist you in any way, please let us know. Following is a list of “common sense” rules and general information:

CABINS/CAMPSITES

  • Guest parking is available at $5.00 per car.
  • Keep your area clean; trash cans are nearby. Please pick up cigarette butts.
  • Conserve gas; do not use cook stoves for heat in the cabins. It not only uses excessive gas, but also burns out the units.

BOAT RENTALS

  • Any person(s) renting boats must sign “Waiver and Release Agreement.”
  • All persons renting any boats must be capable of handling them.
  • Life jackets/vests must be worn at all times.
  • Children 14 yrs and under must be accompanied in any boat by a parent or guardian over the age of 21 at all times.
  • Children 15 yrs and older must obtain parents’/guardians’ permission before renting any boat and parents/guardians assume all responsibility.

PETS

  • Pets are welcome, but must be leashed and quiet at all times.
  • Area must be cleaned up before departure. Do not leave dogs unattended.

SPEED LIMIT

  • The speed limit within the camp area is less than 5 mph.
  • The speed limit on the camp road is not to exceed 20 mph.

GENERATOR

  • The generator times are from 7:00 – 9:00 am and 6:00 – 10:00 pm.
  • The generator is capable of providing power for lights, TVs and radios. NO toasters, hair dryers, toaster ovens, etc. PLEASE!!
  • The generator WILL be turned off during a severe thunder/lightening storm.

GENERAL

  • All persons using the Maine Wilderness Camp facility does so at their own risk.
  • Firewood is available for $10.00 per full cart.
  • If something is not working properly (i.e. gas stoves, refrigerators, toilets), please inform management.
  • Loud music is unacceptable; your choice of music may not be someone else’s.
  • Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
  • Maine Wilderness Camps is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
  • Check-out time is 10:00 am. Please strip linens from beds that you have used. Camps are to be left in a clean and neat condition.
  • Check-in is 12:00 noon. Please pay upon arrival. There is a $5.00 charge for guests and $10.00 charge for overnight guests; the West Grand cabin sleeps up to 7; the St. Croix cabin sleeps up to 5; the Pleasant Pines cabin sleeps up to 5; the Machias cabin sleeps 2; and the East Wing cabin sleeps up to 4.
